Home Business – Touch Your Business Everyday!

Home Business – Are You Reaching Your Goals?

Hard to believe this year is nearly half over!! Doesn’t time pass quickly! How are you going with the goals you set for working your home business in the New Year? Are they on target? Did you start in January full of good intentions and aspirations, but find ‘real life’ got in the way and your home business fell by the wayside? It’s so easy to lose your way when you work from home. There are so many distractions when you work at home it is easy to fall behind on your goals.

You really need to put in some work on your business each day, if you want to get results. Obviously by this I don’t mean you can never miss a day, but especially when it is a new business, you need to make a regular effort. If you just keep disappearing for days on end, your business will suffer. And I can say this, because that is exactly what I tried to do at first. I let every little thing disturb me at the beginning, but then working from home was very new to me. I always had a reason why I couldn’t get on with it!

Unfortunately I soon realised that when I stopped, my lead generation stopped. Which is not good! Now I do a little work everyday. Just a few minutes each day will ensure I am being seen online. There are always times when I can spare a little time, even if it is just coffee time! I can miss that television programme that I usually watch! Even if I am on holiday, I think about ideas to improve my business and make videos on my camera!

So don’t let your life or your children stop you from building your home based business. Make your family the reason WHY you do this business, not an excuse for not doing it! Looking at it like that, you should be able to commit to working each day. Imagine the wonderful future you could have from this business! What if it brought you the spare time and the money to do whatever you wanted? It can give you a great, comfortable future!

If you have let your home business slide, now is the time to pull out the stops and re-commit to putting in the effort. Make a pact with yourself that you put a certain number of hours into your business each week. Make a plan of what you intend to achieve this year, then work backwards to find out how much you need to do each week to achieve your goals.

Try putting up a big chart, right in front of where you work, so you can see what you need to achieve everyday. This will stop you from sitting around trying to decide what to work on.

Decide that even if you may have let the first half of the year slip by, you will grab the rest of the year by the short and curlies and work it!!
